Site changes
I made some changes to the site this morning.
I added a FAQ page that can be accessed here
I also added two new sub-categories: "I subscribe" and "I do not subscribe". I struggled with this decision a bit; I already place the "what I'm going to do" info on the posts themselves. I didn't want membership to a particular category to be construed as a (dis)recommendation; that information is contained solely in the star rating.
Then I thought of how I usually know that I'll like a movie if Ebert gives it a thumbs up, but don't dismiss it if he gives it a thumbs down. Not that I'm an Ebert, by any means, but if you know that my tastes are similar to your own then looking at the "I subscribe" category might give you some ideas, and I thought I could trust you readers with that decision. The thing to remember, though, is that I may not subscribe for reasons totally unrelated to the quality of the 'cast. A good example of this is Curtis's sportspod that I reviewed here. I'm not subscribing to that, but not because the podcast isn't worthwhile but because I don't care for the subject matter.
One last thing; if you've been subscribing to the Atom feed, be aware that there are now RSS 1.0 and 2.0 feeds - the Atom feed was there only because blogspot only allowed for that when this was hosted there; it's included now for consistency.
